Certified Finding Human Facilitator Training
The premier leadership and facilitator training for integrating your own racial reckoning and becoming the person who can listen to heal as a natural extension of who you are.
Prerequisites
Must take the Finding Human Program and Finding Human Live Transformational Experience to be considered for certification
Promises of the Program:
Be confident in your ability as a leader to show up, speak your truth, and develop the skills to effectively navigate tough issues between people and communities.
Live authentically and use your natural gifts as an example to those around you, and as an act of honoring yourself and others.
Be grounded in history and the law as a way to understand our purpose, our why, and how to transform systems to meet the needs of everyone. (Including voices that have been historically missing).
Leader, I see you. You know in your heart that something else is possible for us as humans living on this planet. That if we could truly see each other as unique and whole, each of us would be free to create and express in the way only we can.
There is a foundational historical conversation, the conversation about the construct of race, that has colored our ability to see the human in one another for centuries. Until we heal our personal narrative around race, we stay plugged into the consciousness that divides us.
If you’ve found yourself here, I know you’re already doing good work in this area. You’ve taken it upon yourself to study history, to expose yourself to other cultures, and to speak up as an ally to yourself and others when needed.
You may be someone who is responsible for setting the culture in your workplace and you’re committed to honoring diverse perspectives. You may be your company or school’s DEI representative, the one to advocate for new conversations and policies. You may be a solo professional or social entrepreneur who wants to build into the very foundation of your work a commitment to honoring the human in each of us.
But you may be finding that your efforts fall short.
That it is hard to get others to prioritize what feels important.
That, as much as you already know, you worry about whether you’re truly having the impact you want to have.
You hold back on what you really feel because of fear of the resistance that you’ve been pushing against – or even getting canceled.
You aren’t 100% confident inside that you’ll be able to work with the energies that arise if someone gets triggered about race or handle a challenging conversation when no right answer surfaces.
To really shift this conversation on the planet, the people who already care, who already get it, who are already doing the work, must sit with their own racial reckoning at a deeper level. Must be ready to hold the space for others as they open their hearts to find the human in each of us.
This is where we need to be noticeably clear. There are numerous forms of identity harm that are impacting humans today and marginalizing how we show up in the world. However, we start with race, because the system of slavery is the structural epicenter of how, race, racism, bias and other forms of classism, and discrimination were built. We start here and we expand, but first we must examine the esoteric reality of human.
Does this sound like the journey you’re ready to take?
If so, you might be a future Certified Finding Human Facilitator.

As a Finding Human Facilitator, you will be skilled at what we call the “Listen to Heal” approach to conversations around race. As a leader, you’ll be able to carry this designation as a way to signal to people that you, or your company, or school, are committed to a world of authentic expression and self-actualization for all.

Meet the Facilitators
Paula Forbes
You might be surprised to know that my racial reckoning continues to evolve. As a attorney for over 30 years, I thought I understood my history and how I wanted to impact the world. I was raised by a civil rights leader, my family integrated our neighborhood, in Madison, Wisconsin, and I’ve advocated for equity my entire career, or so I thought. However, the murder of George Floyd in my community, a global pandemic, and a personal cancer diagnosis challenged me to to discover so much more about who I am, and what I have known and not known about my own racial story.
Robin Francis
I’m Robin Francis, and as a lifelong educator and recently, I had to come to face to face with my own racial reckoning around how I showed up as a teacher, principal, and district leader including but no less important my role as; a mother, daughter and aunt, over the span of more than 20 years working in the field of education. Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, this is my home and these all my children and a part of my community. This is where the spark reignited for me, from the many racially charged incidents and how challenging it was for me to show up whole as an educator those very next days at work. While amid racial layering on a Pandemic which would exacerbate the many challenges of an educational system. I watched in the eyes of our students and staff how painfully impactful each of these incidents were and felt helpless to begin to create space for conversations to start to heal.
Perhaps you can relate? Perhaps the events in recent years have invited you to take another look at how you’ve been holding race and equity in your own mind, heart, and story.
Or perhaps thoughts about this have been activated, but they’ve had nowhere to go. You haven’t had your own personal support to unpack what’s come up for you – and you’re probably in a place or a role in life where you’re expected to already know, or to be beyond that.
But let’s face it – We are not beyond that and you’re probably right there with us. How do we know? Because racial and cultural disparity is still alive and well on this planet, which means we are all living in it every day, however well intentioned. It took centuries to create, and we won’t shift it by watching a few documentaries and joining an equity team.

We need to dive deep and transform our own energy, and know how to do that for others.
This may not shift in this lifetime, but it will shift. It is shifting.
Will you join us as part of the solution?
The Certified Finding Human Facilitator Program follows our LEAD approach: Learn, Experience, Apply, Discover.
-
Why do you show up the way you do, and what can you uncover about your own history and our collective history that is influencing you without you knowing it? You’ll learn the tools to hold space for individuals, relationships, and groups as they listen to heal their own race stories.
-
In a safe and loving container that we’ve designed for your growth, you’ll be able to get a firsthand experience of the impact of who you are – what is working beautifully, and what might not be. You experience yourself and others in the role of facilitator, and the role of a human seeking your highest expression in this life.
-
Through visioning, culture creation exercises, and restorative practices, you’ll apply what you’ve learned into your company, team, school, or organization at both a systems level and a personal level. You’ll make bold decisions to show up differently and model the way for others.
-
With the support of this training and community, you’ll discover how your world starts to change when you apply the new tools in your day to day life. What now needs to shift as you begin to show up as a more whole, gifted, and self-expressed version of you? Who else can you help to heal? What is the ripple effect of your commitment to Finding Human?
The Certified Finding Human Facilitator Program is delivered via a combination of online and in person training and one retreat hosted in Washington DC.
The training is done in an intimate, mixed group of humans from a range of racial and cultural backgrounds. The pre-requisite for this program is the core Finding Human curriculum, which runs in separate cohorts for People of Color and for White Allies. All candidates for CFHF are screened via an applicant interview, plus active participation in the core curriculum.
