Finding Human Live
Imagine you can shine in your brilliance.
And others can too.
I want you to imagine this world with me for a moment. A world in which all humans feel free to express their gifts, to shine their brilliance.
As someone who has supported leaders in education to create equitable spaces for all of our children for decades, I know that these spaces are rare. And so valuable, to all of us.
Whatever your race story, your liberation depends on these safe spaces, because as one person’s genius is unleashed, so is yours.
“I don’t have a race story,” you might be saying. And you’re not alone.
I’ve spoken to countless people, of all ethnicities and races, who believed they didn’t have a story around race, and were unaware of the impact they and their race story has when they walk in a room.
Yet our entire history is a race story, and no one is immune. This is good news! Because if we are all part of the collective race story, it means we each have a say in how the story continues.

Are you ready to Find Human?
Finding Human Live is a 3-day immersive retreat where you will explore your “race” story, and be witnessed by others as they listen, and you will learn, yourself, to “listen to heal.” You’ll learn more about your own history as you discover our collective history, and begin to find your place in the future we will co-create together. And can you imagine, we will have fun doing it?
All programs at The Finding Human Institute have three core promises at the heart of what we do:
Be Confident
In your ability as a leader to show up, speak your truth, and develop the skills to effectively navigate tough issues between people and communities.
Live authentically
And use your natural gifts as an example to those around you, and as an act of honoring yourself and others.
Be grounded
In history and the law as a way to understand our purpose, our why, and how to transform systems to meet the needs of everyone (including voices that have been historically missing).

LET’S DISCOVER WHO WE ARE TOGETHER!
You may notice we welcome people from all racial backgrounds into Finding Human Live. While a lot of race conversations happen in groups that are separated by race, I have deeply considered my stance on this. In our vision for an equitable world, humans know how to find the human in one another. To get here requires that we do it together.
We attract leaders who are willing to move through the chaos and work through the process of transformation and healing on the court. We will all make mistakes during this exploration. We will all discover blind spots. But guess what? We’ll face humans and their blind spots out in the world as well.
Here at Finding Human Live, we lean into what we don’t know, what’s been hidden from our view, so we can heal and grow. My team and I will hold a firm and loving container where it is safe to get messy as we explore our race stories. And you’ll learn the tools to navigate these conversations while minimizing or neutralizing racial harm.
